Careful Drywall Work in Yonkers, From Patch to Finish

We are a small drywall company working inside homes across Yonkers. We repair, patch, hang and finish walls and ceilings, and we give the last coat and the cleanup the same attention as the first cut. Here is how we work and what you can expect.

Why we work the way we do

Most of what we see is not new construction. It is a ceiling stained by a leak from the unit above, a doorknob hole in a hallway, a crack that keeps coming back over a door frame, or a room where a wall came out and left a rough edge behind. Each of those has a cause, and a repair that ignores the cause tends to fail again.

Many older homes here mix original plaster with later drywall, sometimes in the same room. Plaster over lath moves differently from gypsum board, and the seam between them is where cracks like to return. We look at what the wall is made of before we choose tape, compound and fasteners, so the patch holds and the surface reads as one flat plane.

We also know a wall sits inside a lived-in space. You may be working from home, showing a rental next week or simply tired of dust. So we plan each visit around drying times, tell you up front how many trips the job needs, and leave a clean work area at the end of every day.

What you can count on from us

  1. 01

    We look before we quote

We check the damage in person, press on the surrounding board and look for moisture or popped fasteners. You get a plain explanation of what we found and a written estimate that lists the work line by line.

  2. 02

    An honest repair-or-replace answer

If a patch will do the job, we say so. If the board is soft, stained through or sagging, we explain why a section should come out, and we show you photos of what we found.

  3. 03

    Texture matching that blends in

Smooth, orange peel, knockdown or a hand-troweled look, we test the texture on a scrap first and adjust until it matches. After sanding, we can handle the paint touch-up so the repair does not show under window light.

  4. 04

    Your home stays protected

We lay drop cloths, mask doorways and cover furniture. Before we leave, the floor is vacuumed and our tools are out of your way.

Where we work

We are based in Yonkers and work in homes throughout the city and close by, including Greenburgh, Greenville, Dobbs Ferry, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Eastchester and Scarsdale. We also take jobs across the river in Tenafly, Cresskill and Closter. Dry winter heat can open hairline cracks and humid summers slow compound drying, so we schedule each coat with the season in mind. The Service Areas page lists every town we cover.
